Who We Are

We're not your typical architecture firm. We actually care about what happens after the ribbon cutting.

The Real Story

Started back in 2011 with nothing but a drafting table and way too much coffee, we've grown into something we're genuinely proud of. Based right here in Vancouver's creative district, our studio's become a space where architects, urban planners, and sustainability nerds come together to create buildings that don't just look good - they actually work.

Here's the thing - we got tired of seeing beautiful designs that ignore how people actually live and work. You know the type: all glass and steel but zero natural ventilation, or those "iconic" buildings that leak energy like a sieve. We decided there had to be a better way.

Our approach? Listen first, design second. We spend time understanding how spaces get used before we even think about putting pencil to paper. And yeah, we're obsessed with sustainability, but not in that preachy way. It's just smart design that'll save you money and help the planet - win-win.

OUR PHILOSOPHY

Design That Actually Makes Sense

We believe architecture should respond to its environment, not fight against it. Vancouver's climate is unique - why would we design buildings like we're in Arizona?

Every project starts with context. The neighborhood, the people, the weather patterns, even the way light hits at different times of day. Sounds basic, but you'd be surprised how often it gets ignored.

We're also big believers in honesty with materials. If it's concrete, let it be concrete. If it's wood, celebrate that. No fake facades, no pretending to be something you're not.

Our Collaborative Approach

How We Work

1
Listen & Learn

We spend real time understanding your vision, budget, and constraints. No cookie-cutter solutions here.

2
Research & Analyze

Site studies, climate data, building codes - all the boring stuff that makes or breaks a project.

3
Design & Iterate

Multiple concepts, honest feedback sessions, and refinements until it clicks.

4
Build & Support

We stick around through construction and beyond. Your success is our success.

Why Vancouver?

This city's got everything - mountains, ocean, dense urban core, and some of the most progressive environmental policies in North America. It's basically a playground for architects who care about sustainability.

We're right in the thick of it on Homer Street, surrounded by the creative energy that makes this city tick. Being local means we understand BC building codes in our sleep, know which contractors are actually reliable, and can respond to site issues quickly.

Plus, Vancouver's challenging climate keeps us sharp. If you can design a building that handles our rain, wind, and seismic activity while staying energy-efficient, you can design anywhere.
